An Ntag 216 could be used insted of Ntag 215?
The tag 216 has more memory so the amiibo dump should fit without problems, and it's more cheap than the 215.
The extra bytes could be leaved as blank. I don't know if the console will say "corrupted data" or something if theres more data than expected. There are only asumptions.

maybe it requires the exact bytes no excess, like how the sky3ds works to act like a legit card.

Either way NFC215 tag is exactly 540 bytes, every dump i have seen from that site *looking at the archive now* they all all exactly 540bytes.

atm 215 tags are cheaper than 216 tags or cost the same when the deal is over on aliexpress

Yeah, my bad. The price is cheap on the 215 but buy a stack of 100 units it's a bit... excessive. If there was a little stacks could be cool.
For that i was asking about the 216 beacause you can find stacks of 6 units in a reasonable price.

The only gap is the encryption. Right now, it isn't possible to encrypt the dump unless you somehow track down the Amiibo crypto key (which I haven't seen anywhere), or you get an API for amiitool (which isn't a great solution as you are then dependent on that API). Ideally, we would have a way the key (with some thinly veiled distribution method like an illegal prime or key generator ALA MakeKeyBin), in which case it would be pretty easy to build an Android app that would let you just use any NTAG215 as an Amiibo.

Wouldn't it technically be possible to hack the amiiqo Android app to accept any tag since that's what it does except it accepts only amiiqo?

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
