That's actually an apt comparison. On paper, both ideas sound refreshing.

Trump, an outspoken outsider that became a politician to clean the swamp in favor for the little people.
Musk, one of the richest men in the world using his money to further industries and studies that are beneficial to the world.

Trump has already shown that he isn't that person in the slightest. I'm still still crossing my fingers that Musk can stop doing dumb things.

Colorado is beautiful right now after a year of heavy rainfall, all the flowers and trees overgrown. Just hoping we get our usual four seasons though, no guarantee of that this year with temperatures in the Southern hemisphere hitting 90s during their winter.

I went to Vail 20 years ago for a ski trip. I'd like to see the other 3 seasons, too, but I have no plans.

Musk did have a better eye for investment than Trump ever did but he let his ego get in the way. He is 52 now. We have a saying here that goes something like "old fool doesn't learn languages". He has got to that post-middle age stubborn phase.

I think he has a point. It can be harder to hold onto money than it is to earn it. If you have luxuries in your life, such as games, free time to talk on internet forums, and the like... then complaining about people being rich seems moot and counterproductive, and maybe even vain/conceited/hypocritical. If you wanted to be rich more than you wanted to be "comfortable" I'm sure you'd start acting in productive ways instead of the empty lip service, excuses, and emotional grift.

People have different ideas of what it means to be "rich". Finding out what it means for you is probably step 1 if it is something you want in your life.
