3g vitas are unlockable now? Can you point me to the right direction?how it it locked?
PSN Account locked?
did you try safe mode and Restore the PS Vita System(this will format the vita to default setting for the FW i is on, removing all the data old user data on it), you might also need to format the Memory card as well
is the 3g locked?
run the Network Operator app (you might need a new sim card to use 3g)
its 3g locked, I have a sim card and it does show ROGERS 3G on the signal bar. When I launch the network app and press Go to Rogers Website it says cannot connect to server.how it it locked?

just know
you might not be able to use different networks with the 3g. you might be stuck with the the one Sony lets you use
Check the left side of the vita. There should be a slot to insert the sim card. Least on mine it is.Sorry for the ignorant post but.
Where is the SIM port of the 3G Vita even located? o.O
Mine is a 3G one, but i live in Venezuela and, it's obviously going to be locked to at&t. Didn't know there was a way to unlock them at all.

From what i know, this seem to be the case, sony locked it to only at&t providers, and henkaku or any other previous hacks have not been one to change this. I'm sure the vita assets are unrelated to the 3G ones, but let hackers be the choice of that.Oh, Thank you very much.
How could i have missed that? XD
Anyway, these are region locked and CFW doesn't circumvent this. Correct?
EU 3G models are not carrier locked. From what i know, this seem to be the case, sony locked it to only at&t providers, and henkaku or any other previous hacks have not been one to change this. I'm sure the vita assets are unrelated to the 3G ones, but let hackers be the choice of that.

@OP as of right now there's no way to unlock a 3G vita as far as I'm aware of.
I'm not entirely sure, but it might be tied to the fact that each country here in Europe has atleast 5 different providers and seeing as it was distibuted almost everywhere it might have had been a better idea to ship them unlocked rather than make 100 different models of it.Aw man, that's shitty. Why make it locked in the first place?
Even ps vita?GOOD NEWS!
Just stumbled upon this thread, but the CRTC has decided that all devices must be unlocked free of charge upon request, starting December 1, 2017:
https://www.canada.ca/en/radio-tele...an_endtolockedcellphonesandunlockingfees.html
So starting Dec 1, this should be free.
Even ps vita?
Contact me if they do it, I'm interested tooThe rule says *devices* not *phones* so, yes. We might have to gang up and force Rogers ("Sony has to do it!" "No, Rogers!" "No, Sony!") to do it, but yes, if they will not do it, I will organize an official complaint procedure with the CRTC. I should still have the sales slip from way back when (it was on firmware 1.69 when I bought it).
