I'm not asking for a software solution. I'm not a fool. From looking in the slot, it looks like some of the pins are bent a bit out of shape. This happened to my GameCube's Slot A when I was a kid (lost my first Melee save over it...) and I fixed it with my DS stylus. Naturally, the SD slot is smaller, so I don't think that'll work this time. Does anyone have any repair ideas, or should I just send for a replacement reader? Replacing it myself is beyond my current ability, and I don't want to break the Wii U itself.

Buy a hot air station or hot air gun with adjustable air flow and pull off the old and replace with a new one. I bought a hot air gun from a site for 30$ bucks a few weeks ago (yes they advertise on this website) and it's amazing to work with. You could easily pull off the old SD Card reader and replace it. Just have a steady hand...
