Command I used to get into Engllish:
su -c 'system-config-language'
To update the system, use this command:
sudo dnf update -x kernel*,libdrm*,mesa*,xorg-x11-drv-a*
To auto mount usb enter this in terminal:
sudo dnf -y install fuse-exfat
To change time first change time zone then time for me this is what I did
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-U...iguring_the_Date_and_Time-timedatectl-Display
timedatectl list-timezones
Saw my time zone Americ/New_York then I changed to su
timedatectl set-timezone America/New_York
Then I entered (not as su but sudo)
sudo date 100819252020
Format for you will be same but info different MMDDHHMMYYYY or month month date date hour hour minute minute year year year year
To enable swapfile:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-U...ministration_Guide/s2-swap-creating-file.html
What seemed to help me get gains in GTA IV was enabling Steam play in steam and installing GTA from there. Once installed there I had to install Proton for wine I used these instructions from ITmania:
"Let's say NO to flickering textures in games on PS4Linux by installing VKD3D-Proton and launching games with DirectX11 via DirectX 12. Unfortunately, for games with DirectX9 this method does not work and the textures will flicker .. Plus, a slight drop in performance is possible, but not fact..
Get VKD3D-Proton here:
https://github.com/HansKristian-Work
On Fedora, you need to have zstd installed to unpack the archive:
$ sudo dnf install zstd
Next, enter the command in the terminal:
Next, enter the command in the terminal:
$ tar -I zstd -xvf vkd3d-proton-2.2.tar.zst
And then install vkd3d-proton ^
$ ./setup_vkd3d_proton.sh install
We enter winecfg and select Windows 10, as well as go to the libraries tab to make sure the installation ..
Now you can start the game by adding -dx12 or -d3d12 ..
Done!"
Then I navigated to my game dir in terminal and launched it with this command wine gtaIV.exe -dx12 and it really helped me with gta IV....please note video shows older method atm but I will be updating content soon!
