Switch and 3DS are two different beasts, not gonna hold my breath
I remember qlutoo or smea saying the Switch OS/kernel is very similar to the 3DS.
I wouldn't be surprised that there's more flaws in the firmware then just the single kernel exploit.

To be completely honest, I don't know why anyone would think there weren't.I remember qlutoo or smea saying the Switch OS/kernel is very similar to the 3DS.

I say realistic. Pessimistic is "the switch will never be hacked."Yet People here will still be pessimistic

I have a 2.0.0 switch for sale. $1800

People who are complaining about no release - do you guys realize that they're not releasing anything at the time not because they're selfish assholes, but rather because they don't want Nintendo to patch this immediately and, essentially, lose all their work within a few days?
no they just want to be special, if this was to help the community source would be released. It's inevitable for Nintendo to patch it; the more likely reason is because they've only just gotten the access and want to polish the code and make sure it's in working order for public use (no bricks, etc). They also wont lose their work.
Presumably the kexploit is for 2.0.0-3.0.0, with it being patched 3.0.x and up already, so they aren't losing any work.
Why? So someone can release a hacky variant that bricks systems? We may not see something tomorrow, but to say nothings coming is petty.no they just want to be special, if this was to help the community source would be released.

it's quite obvious they like to hold stuff and keep themselves on a highhorse, and saying a hacky variant that bricks systems would happen is retarded. They could just release a writeup on the exploit, or the exploit itself. Why? So someone can release a hacky variant that bricks systems? You have no idea how they've even achieved it right now, it's probably a ridiculous amount of buggy bits of code and overflows that don't even work 96% of the time. Just remember how much of a pain it was to get the Wii U exploits working on release, it wasn't great.no they just want to be special, if this was to help the community source would be released.
Yes, like the shitty downgrader we got for the 3ds..it NEVER happens. Get real. To think we wouldn't get a hacky build is retarded.it's quite obvious they like to hold stuff and keep themselves on a highhorse, and saying a hacky variant that bricks systems would happen is retarded. Welcome to the temp.Oh please, this thread isn't even two hours old. Please don't let it turn into a shitstorm that quickly.
Cool beans that they got a kexploit working, hopefully they can reverse even more with it.
i didnt say that theyre the same........i said that the same thing can apply to the Switch. and you said 4.0 will never be hacked.....you cant say that...because no system is bugfree. any system can be hacked
