Nothing will happen to your Nintendo Network ID or Nintendo Account. Bans haven't happened in many, many years. Additionally, online play ends in less than 2 months, so there won't be anything to be banned from anyway.

With the support for 3DS now being removed from Nintendo, I wonder if installing this will remove my warranty? I had this 3DS for a decade now so I guess I have no reason to worry about it. The thing is, my NNID is connected to my Nintendo account. I do not want it comprommised and tog et banned by Nitnedo. What are the odds of that happening?
Bans on the 3ds or Wii u are very unlikely. Especially these days.

I want to use the nullify time offset stuff to make some things easier in the Pokémon games, and a friend on discord advised me do the following:

1. Set your console time to two days ago
2. After you set the time, open Rosalina, go to Miscellaneous and Nullify User Time Offset
3. Reboot through Rosalina, open the game and save to update the offset
4. Move your clock two days forward, Nullify User Time Offset and reboot through Rosalina
5. Open your game again and save

My question is, why is setting my system clock to two days ago etc. all necessary as opposed to just nullifying the offset from the get go? Is there a logical reason this is necessary?

EDIT: I'm just going to do it anyway, after looking into it more it seems like this is to ensure all existing time penalties are gone before using the offset to actually do stuff.

If I update Luma 3DS via the Universal Downloader does it update on both SD card and NAND or do I have to manually update it on the NAND as well? How do I do that? My 3DS has a pending system update from AGES ago which I still use B to deny every single time it's prompted.

If you have Luma3DS installed on the ctrnand, meaning if your 3ds can boot to the home menu without the sdcard, then you have Luma3DS installed on the ctrnand. And in that case, using Universal-Updater to update Luma3DS will update both, the boot.firm that's on your sd card and on the ctrnand.
If you 3ds can't boot to the home menu, you have to do manually. To do that :
  1. GM9Megascript”
  2. Select “Scripts from Plailect’s Guide”
  3. Select “Setup Luma3DS to CTRNAND”

Dumb question... I got Luma3DS v13.0.2 on my new 2ds xl and I want to upgrade to 13.1

Do I just download the newest Config folder, boot.3dsx and boot.firm and put on the root of my SD Card and set to replace in windows?

If this is correct, then how do I know if 13.1 is on my 2ds xl

Yes, only boot.firm
You could also just use Universal-Updater to update Luma3DS (and any other homebrew) to the latest version without the need of taking the sd card out of the 3ds to your pc. Ftp is also an option (with ftpd).

Hold select on boot it'll show Luma3DS Menu it'll say what version it is on the top left corner.
