First You Need to Make sure Adrenaline is Rendering Correctly

Second You need To install this Font Package to: /ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/flash0/font/ .........on your Vita (itn font files from ppsspp 1.9.3 windows version)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a63s-6nkIDj4tHw-bhDSmMP-zOurZL0I/view?usp=sharing
......................
(you can see the immediate results on a text heavy game like "yugioh") (all games really)
......................
......................
Test Adrenaline Rendering Correctly:

Adrenaline
Graphics Filter::Sharp Bilinear
Smooth Graphics::Yes
Scale Screen X psp 2.000 (CAN BREAKS SCANLINES : SHARP BILINEAR)
Scale Screen y psp 1.975
Scale Screen x ps1 1.505
Scale Screen y ps1 1.035 (CAN BREAKS SCANLINES : SHARP BILINEAR)

(The Sharp Bilinear Filter, will produce Straight Scanlines if Adrenaline is Rendering Correctly for the Resolution you are using or the Screen Size) (Look close at your screen, if Adrenaline is not Rendering Correctly, it will mangle the text..........the font fix from ppsspp, will make the letters larger and clear)

These are the Settings I'm using on PSTV (its probably the same for the vita, you have to test):

1080i Resolution
"Sharpscale"

scaling mode::::Integer
PS1 aspect ratio::::4:3
Scaling Algorithm::: Point
Unlock frame buffer size::::off

Adrenaline v7 with "AdrenalineBubbleManager_6.13" installed (adrenaline will indicate that from "about")
Graphics Filter::Sharp Bilinear
Smooth Graphics::No/Yes
Scale Screen X psp 2.000 (CAN BREAKS SCANLINES : SHARP BILINEAR)
Scale Screen y psp 1.975
Scale Screen x ps1 1.505
Scale Screen y ps1 1.035 (CAN BREAKS SCANLINES : SHARP BILINEAR)

You don't need to use "Sharp Bilinear", that is the only way to test if its rendering correctly, by seeing if the scanlines are STRAIGHT.............you can use another filter, but you may not get a better result.............using sharpscale 720p, with the black bars is looks sharper, but............the difference is also noticeable at 1080i.

It's work! Now the text are clear, sharper and bigger. Even the games looks like they takes advantage of this, i just trying with Ridge Racer PSP.
Thanks.

I'd still like to see video proof...

Just view anything "gepatch" related............its very close to that sharpness with just a few minor adjustments.............most people including myself, just wrote off "gepatch" for that reasons, the resolution is not very different.

There is almost a 2000$ bounty on a native vita resolution patch for the adrenaline emulator...............that may never happen!

"Gepatch" doesn't support "filters" correctly, you will have to find the right display settings to fix any rendering issues before using "gepatch"............so the method is OP is still valuable even for that, or a future native resolution adrenaline mod. All "Gepatch" achieved so far was broken mechanics and slow frame rates for 80 to 90 percent of games in the psp library...............we can do much better then that, by not even using it.....................and now we finally can!

You can skip the whole sharpscale thing because its doing absolutely nothing while any adrenaline scaling filter is used.

You can skip the whole sharpscale thing because its doing absolutely nothing while any adrenaline scaling filter is used.

That is not true for the pstv............however.......the pstv......first make sure you see "straight scan lines" in the "sharp bilinear filter"............:using adrenaline:

from settings set your pstv to 720p:.............install sharpscale:

"Sharpscale"
scaling mode::::Integer
PS1 aspect ratio::::4:3
Scaling Algorithm::: Point
Unlock frame buffer size::::off

(the scaling mode will always be "REAL", @, 720p on the pstv) (means the screen is shrunk, just use, the above settings)
(using the above settings for sharpscale, in your settings set mode @ 1080i and your screen will go back to normal size)

In 720p Mode on pstv with sharpscale installed, adrenaline will look as good or better then gepatch...........if you try to just shrink your "adrenaline screen from the sizing options" without using sharpscale you will not notice the difference. (if you use 1080i mode from settings and set gepatch to REAL the screen will shrink even further)

..................
Now go to settings and change your pstv to 1080i.............if you change it to REAL mode, your visual area/screen will be even smaller then just using 720p Mode.............if you want fullscreen just use 1080i
..................

Try this if you don't like the screen size, but like the, "high resolution @ 720p Mode with Sharpscale" equilavent to GEPATCH

try to set your tv to a "wide mode", not the "zoom mode" of your tv, it will be slightly bigger at 720p with sharpscale and you will have the same high detail, if you try to "zoom" it your tv will loose the detail (unless you have a very expensive or high end tv)
.................
.................
.................
.................
.................
You added the Font Files from PPSSPP 1.9.3 (itn files) that will fix the font display with sharpscale..............and you made sure you saw straight bars with your screen ratio using the "sharp bilinear filter, this will make sure adrenaline is rendering correctly, so when sharpscale gets the image, it is enhanced correctly @ 720p and that is equilavent to GEPATCH
.....................
.....................

Once Again without "Sharpscale" adrenaline will not scale correctly @ the shrunk size the pstv is rendering at with 720p and Sharpscale plugin..................you can increase your screen size using "wide" from your tv without loosing detail............THIS IS EQUAL OR BETTER THEN GEPATCH (as we've said) (use any filter you want, you need to use "sharp bilinear" to make sure your see straight bars, to get the rendering correct)

(adrenaline will not render correctly if you just try to shrink the screen form adrenaline options, you must use correct full screen ratio, to see the straight bars in the "sharp bilinear" filter............and include the font fix, for best result from the font files of PPSSPP 1.9.3)

(there is a visual benefit on all vita games also, however, just change your vita to 1080i and the screen will be full size, you don't have to keep changing your tv settings.............most modern tv's will save the "wide" mode per device......enjoy)

Fixing what? Fucked up PSP Emu? Make a backup of PSPEMUCFW folder if you're so paranoid.

Just make a backup of the font folder and that's it! You just have to copy and paste a couple of Files.. there's nothing that you going to fix. The results is similar to the Ge Patch, just try it.

Okay why is there no screenshots or video of this actually working? everyone is saying how easy it is to install then its equally easy to take a screenshot or a record a simple video of this actually working. This is extremely sketchy wen theres zero proof except someone going "It works, trust me." scammers say stuff like that

(Adrenaline is Rendering Correctly...............most likely is using 720p, sharpscale, and the tv's wide/zoom function.................has a good quality lcdtv..............its just about the same visual quality as gepatch)

In order to make sure Adrenaline is Rendering Correctly, and the values may be the same or slightly differently on the vita versus the pstv, and on the pstv, maybe dependant on the tv.

However, you need to see "straight lines in the sharp bilinear filter" and adrenaline is rendering correctly, then you can use sharpscale in 1080i full screen or 720p shrunk (with tv wide/zoom), to get "gepatch" high quality image. (without breaking games like gepatch does).

(if you are using a pstv, (you can also see benefit on the vita hand held using sharpscale), with sharpscale and adrenaline rendering correctly.........THEN...........if you have a low to average lcd tv, you need to use "wide", you cannot use "zoom" or it will not be clear (if using 720p and you want a bigger screen size on your tv)..............only if you have a high quality tv can you use "zoom", without losing detail)

(after "sharpscale" came out first...........then............"gepatch" came out, some people wanted to give the author the bounty, but it really did nothing new, it doesn't use the vita's native resolution, and without tweaking, you will not know that "sharpscale" already achieved it in a better way)
