So I haven't played it in a couple months, and boot it back up to play some MGS2. It's dead. Ok, I get that. I attempt to charge it. It doesn't turn on all night despite charging on the original charger that came with it.
Come this morning, I read that someone had this issue and they just took the battery back in/out. So I do so, getting real annoyed at how hard it is to slip that ribbon back in but I make it. It turns on now, and asks for date/time. Ok, it did die all the way so again I expect this.
But now it does this every time I put it down. If I press the button once for sleep mode, it turns all the way off and requires I redo date/time on start-up. Complete with CFW logo.
It holds a charge just fine, even if it does drain faster than I remember. I have played it some today without plugging in.
I have gone ahead and ordered a replacement SP86R battery at Walmart for $12, hoping it works. Did that anyway since I've had it 3 years and it likely needed a new battery regardless. But is there anything else that might be causing the sleep issue?
