I've been simply trying to dump my NOR on a Phat CECHK PS3 but it been hanging on "SUCCESS..." for the past 3 hours. Its frozen and wont budge. Is it safe to forcefully shut it down?

Download the PUP file, then put it as PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP on your USB, then go to System Update > From Storage Media, and it should say Ferrox

Are you sure you put it exactly as I mentioned?
The file needs to be "PS3UPDAT.PUP" (note that theres no E) and be placed in /PS3/UPDATE/

I think it's worth noting I've been hanging on success when I hit it as well, and I'm also on a CECHK...
