It would be interesting to have Android apks run on the Switch. Mario Run is one of my favourite smartphone games (that and.. yeah. that) so having it on a home console / handheld that I could take anywhere on a big screen would be really cool.

Oh.. I almost forgot about the online DRM. I hope the Androiders can do something about that.

Since the Switch has apparently got an ARM64 CPU, and Microsoft recently released a video demonstration of Windows 10 running x86 apps on ARM64 CPUs... maybe we'll get a "Windows 10 on Switch" in the future thanks to hacking

Windows only works on Qualcomm SoCs (the upcoming SD835 fully supports it).

Switch uses Nvidia Tegra, not Qualcomm Snapdragon.


Honestly, just get a GPD Win if you want an x86 handheld.

I would like to get a GPD Win too, but I'm not getting it because:

1. I already have a gaming PC
2. I would prefer to get a Switch to have LAN parties with my friends.
3. I don't even have the money to get the Switch at day one (probably getting it after summer), let alone two handheld consoles Ç_Ç

I have a gaming PC as well, but I decided to get the Win instead of the Switch because of the huge library and the emulation possibilities.

But I will get a Switch one day - can't resist playing BOTW and Mario.

Did anyone else go to a Switch event? I noticed that at the 1-2 Switch Kiosk, the Nintendo "Brand Supporter" (I think that was the title) was using a cellphone (looked like an iphone) in order to switch between different games ie: Milk and Quick Draw. Thoughts?

I already have several theories where Nintendo likely left a hole. For the noobs in the audience, remember that until someone can actually test them, these are guesses. I'm arranging them in order of likelihood.

• Via the phone connection used for voice chat
• Sky3DS-style cartridge emulator.
• Nintendo plans to release a USB->LAN adaptor. There's a known vulnerability in some cheap USB LAN chipsets which enables intercepting and modifying HTTPS connections. Not giving any details, but it's actually been used in a [example] virus. It's permanent though, so you'd have to buy a second adapter if you actually want to use it. Requires physical access to the chip and soldering skills.
• Once Nintendo enables the USB-C port for something, that could be an entrypoint.
