If we are in 3.0.2 should we update to 4.0.0 or not?
The rule of thumb is if you care about homebrew, stay as low as possible.
If you want to do online, update.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.

I think they should just let us use the browser already built, without restrictions. They could also refine it with bookmarks, tabs etc.@iAqua Remember when I made a thread on a potential exploit with Wii U Chat, and got destroyed? Thought the same would happen here. Guess it was just me.

After the Wii U, you think they'll just throw another browser out there?
Yes but then it will easily be exploited. They obviously will work a good year and a half on this before they release it.I think they should just let us use the browser already built, without restrictions. And or refine with bookmarks, tabs etc.
Tbh, Switch homebrew just isn't worth it. The Switch is far more enjoyable without it.
You guys gotta agree with me on this, at least.
Not an announcement thread.
If you don't see, my description says 'Professional Idiot'...You're asking a group of people in the hacking and homebrew forum if they agree that homebrew is not worth it.
Are you dense or just pretending to be?
It's legit the same exact thing tho... :IThis was a question thread.

No, he was asking about an exploit through the system transfer, similar to the DSiWare exploit, while the other thread was telling us about the update. It's legit the same exact thing tho... :I
Can you have it connected to the Internet and say no when it asks for update the fw like the 3DS? Or is it like the Wii U that Updates when it wants to?The rule of thumb is if you care about homebrew, stay as low as possible.

Most probably #2. But we have DNS so it's okay. Can you have it connected to the Internet and say no when it asks for update the fw like the 3DS? Or is it like the Wii U that Updates when it wants to?

Fiddler is dead on anything above FW 3.0.2, right? Not sure, I'm still on 3.0.0 and blocking updates with Fiddler.
Assume for the time being that you can't do anything online until confirmed otherwise.
I heard that it's outdated the one that I found in here so I don't know which one should I use, would you please show me current DNS option abviable? Most probably #2. But we have DNS so it's okay.
That sucks. So if one day Ninty decided to stop the online service, all Switches will become garbage. At least Sony let you backup your saves to external devices.
(And that means homebrew is more important than ever just to do backup w/o Ninty.)
The Switch will keep nagging you to install the update (it prompts every time you try to launch a title), but you can decline and still launch the game (unless it requires an update). It does not automatically update itself. Can you have it connected to the Internet and say no when it asks for update the fw like the 3DS? Or is it like the Wii U that Updates when it wants to?
