@Pachee, I tried with the F-zero Vessel like you suggested but it didn't make any difference, no change in screen size? a pic of the changes in action would be good. :)
Thanks.

Did you notice any change in resolution at least? Last time i tried it i managed to make ocarina look blurry as on the n64 itself.

This is very true, infact it's true for all disc based nintendo consoles (to an extent). GC can sort of do n64 emulation, but it can run everything else just fine hacked. Wii is A bit better and also has DS support, but the quality is about as good as GC's N64 emulation. Wii u is able to run everything except of course 3DS. Switch might be the closest yet. But...

1. How do you manage your external hard drives? I mean, do you have 2 HD, one for vWii and GC, and one for the WiiU stuff?

Does anyone know if its possible to use a powered docking station with 2 hubs to connect both wiiu and vwii (with ustealth) hard drives to one usb port?

I don't think so because most hard drives require two USB slots to power it, but it is still read as one. If there's multiple devices connected it might also be read as one

Thats what i thought. Wishful thinking. Ill do what one person suggested and get a powered usb hub and powet both hdd's through that so i dont have to remove any when going from wiiu to vwii

Hello!

Did someone get to successfully upscale the N64 emulation to 720 in yhe WiiU?

I am trying to do this, but I only get oversized screen with pictutes out of the tv...

I have tried to set 1024x768 size within the RiceVideo.cfg file, exactly as follows below, but instead of rescaling the image and fit into the TV, it only shows one portion of the screen. These are the settings:

WinModeWidth 640
WinModeHeight 480
FulScreenWidth 1024
FulScreenHeight 768
EnableHacks 1
FrameBufferSetting 0
FrameBufferWriteBackControl 0
RenderToTexture 0
ScreenUpdateSetting 2
FPSColor -1
OpenGLDepthBufferSetting 16
ColorQuality 0
OpenGLRenderSetting 0
NormalAlphaBlender 0
EnableFog 1
WinFrameMode 0
FullTMEMEmulation 0
ForceSoftwareTnL 1
ForceSoftwareClipper 1
OpenGLVertexClipper 0
EnableSSE 1
EnableVertexShader 0
SkipFrame 0
DisplayTooltip 0
HideAdvancedOptions 1
DisplayOnscreenFPS 0
FrameBufferType 1
FulScreenHeight 480
FastTextureLoading 0
RenderEngine 0
ForceTextureFilter 0
TextureQuality 0
TexRectOnly 0
SmallTextureOnly 0
LoadHiResTextures 0
DumpTexturesToFiles 0
TextureEnhancement 0
TextureEnhancementControl 0
FullScreenFrequency 0
AccurateTextureMapping 1

Thanks in advance!

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
