Hi guys. In July 2015 I bought my copy of Earthbound from the eShop, in the hopes that it would one day be dumpable. I am aware that these kinds of permissions are possible now with the kernel exploit. However, there is only a guide for dumping GBA VC, and it requires a long and arduous process involving TCP. So, my questions are-
-Does the same process/guide apply to dumping SNES VC too, or is it a different process?
-Why isn't there an easier method beyond messing with TCPGecko to dump stuff? Is it not possible to make a homebrew app that dumps it to the SD card from the kernel exploit? I'm not asking for anything like this, I'm just wondering if it can/can't be done yet.
Thanks for answering in advance :) Keep in mind I know nothing about the Wii U scene, I come from the 3DS scene, and have the appropriate knowledge :)

The tcpGecko process isn't very hard when you know what you're looking for, but the PCM audio (should be) screwed up, I think Earthbound is one of the few that makes it out alive but you can use this as well: https://github.com/wheatevo/wiiu-vc-extractor I just don't know how valid the dumps it produces are, plus the Wii U is supposed to be able to do on-the-fly patching when the rom is loaded so it may not be entirely correct coming out of the files as it would be coming out of a dump in tcpgecko.

In NES/SNES roms the rom is stored in the .rpx, in GBA it's stored in /content/alldata.bin.

Hi, so I just dumped it. Easier than I thought :P
Anyway, where do I find my ROM and save data? I see a WUP-JBBE.rpx file, which is 9.91 MB. I'm assuming that's the ROM. How do I extract it? And where's my save data?

@QuarkTheAwesome I just looked under the /content folder. All it has is a few error files, and a .bfsar file that's nowhere near big enough to be the ROM. In the GBA dumping guide, don't you have to dump it from RAM or something? Does the same thing apply here?
