That's likely you didn't decrypt the files (Step 3). The files must be decrypted, otherwise the program cannot read them.

hello, I also want the same, and finished all the xml files, these control information about the game interface, the level structure, the character configuration, among other data. I have changed all the Japanese letters of missions, magic, help of messages and others, it only remains to add the other days (25-30) do you know something about that topic so that we can do it?

Just a heads up. The 30 days and the endings have been translated. I'm missing only three Madoka-Kyoko events and the final all-girls event, and I will release an update when done. With that, the game story will be 100% playable, and the only things missing will be some gui elements, some extra barriers mission names/description, etc

Version 0.4 uploaded in first post (the link is in the Step 1, in the "Download this"), with overall 98% and story and events at 100%

Changelog:
- Overall: ~98% (Game can now be considered playable without Japanese knowledge)
- Main story (including endings): 100%
- Friend and combination magic events: 100%
- Special events: 100%
- "Evaluation" remarks from partner/Kyubey at end of stage: 100%
- Stage titles and descriptions: all the ones from story and a few from extra content. Missing: the rest of extra content.
- Stage objectives: all the ones in story mode (days 1-30) and a few from extra content. Missing: the rest of objectives in extra content.
- Exe update: the program will know apply Max zlib compression level, as it was found this is the level game developers used.
- Exe update: some sanity checks in the strings in the [Lua] section, to avoid bad input from destroying lua files.

So next steps will be to translate remaining of extra content and do the font hack (so that the stage titles and descriptions can be retranslated without those absurd low character limits).
But after this update, the game can now be played (and understood) without knowledge of Japanese.

If someone uploaded the already generated patch, it would be just a matter of copying it. Reason I don't do is because I'm not sure that would be allowed here. After all, the 4 files of the patch are pretty much the whole game (except the videos and sprx libraries)

That’s the issue for me, while understandable why you’d go this route, I don’t have access to a PC and I really wanna play this game in English, I found a pre-converted patch on reddit but it’s from a year ago.
