Thanks. I haven’t studied this hard in a while. There is so much information and so many variables.Good luck.
Read the instructions for Jungleflasher carefully and you'll be fine.
I feel you there. But it has to come down in price. It is a whole lot easier to mod if you don't have soldering skills. My brother ruined a few boards before he got his right. I think you need a really good soldering iron. I have a few here I would like to mod but I think, if the price is right, I will pay someone to do it for me. My brother got his done for 30USD.@DinohScene
To answer your questions:
The DVD is already flashed, I believe with iXtreme LT+ 3.0 but I do not have any keys. I know however that burnt games work on it.
The dash is: 2.0.17526.0 (I have not powered it on for a while as I have another X360 that I use)
I would definitely like to do an RGH for two reasons:
1. I do not ever play online, I do get achievements but that is all, I am not too worried about those. The 360 live service is almost dead or will die soon.
2. XKey is expensive and not readily available in the UK.
Ideally, an RGH2 (or SRGH? I am confused with these two) + dual NAND solution would be perfect, but first I need to know how to do it and what I need to get started.
I just tried with my 360 powering the pcb and my usb sata adapter and it doesn't detect it. I disabled driver signture enforcement and if I click on anything on the program it just gives out an error message. I think i'll try with a windows 7 PC as windows 10 appears not to work well with thisYou'll need a compatible SATA chipset and a way to power the drive with either a connectivity kit or the 360 itself.
Flashing wise, it'll be the same as you'd normally do it.
Oh thank you, that can be an option if I don't get it working. However I remember I was able to connect my drive and get it recognised somehow, and I didn't need extra tools. You can send the drive PCB to me along with the drive dump.
I could flash the keys to it and send it back if you want to.
Otherwise you'll have to get a dedicated SATA card or a X360 USB pro.
