Hi

As we're some weeks on from the Enso 3.65 update, I am wondering how people have been finding it? I have sat on the fence a while as I didn't want to update and find out that certain homebrew apps didn't work. I know TheFlow has updated Adrenaline which is said to work fine (or so I heard), but what about things like MaiDump and Retroarch? I realize the questions in this post may have been asked before and so if they have, I apologize. But I just wanted some feedback on any positives / negatives outside of the fact it plays 3.65 games.

Thanks all.

Theres no sense in updating to 3.65, you can play dumped 3.65 games on 3.60, on 3.65 you cant reinstall fw, you may have problems with compatibility, you cant use browser to install henkaku etc. We get alot of people with this kind of problems on vitahacks/cfw guide discord.
Really, dont update if u arent 100% sure.

Thanks for the reply but I don't know whether you've misconstrued what I meant. I'm on 3.60 Enso and am trying to decide whether to update to 3.65 Enso as there are games that cannot be played on 3.60 that require 3.65. What I want to know though is before upgrading, what does and doesn't work after updating. TheFlow updated Adrenaline to work, but what about everything else like MaiDump, VitaShell, Retroarch. Has anyone run into any issues with these apps after doing TheFlow's update.

Vitashell works of course... it was updated before the 3.65 updater was made, lol - same for Adrenaline

Mai (at least the dumper part), Vitamin, SaveMgr and other apps that inject into installed titles - the way they work (unsigned "update" for a commercial game) was blocked in 3.63, but the "RePatch" plugin unlocks them again; since RePatch uses a different folder for updates (so that you can ALSO use an official game update, it was intended for translations and hacks) you need a mod of RePatch that uses the original folder OR a modded version of the homebrews (recommended)

I don't use Retrocrap but unless it hardcodes system functions it doesn't care about version (and if it does, it would probably have been updated, by now); the same reasoning is true about every kernel plugin, or usermode plugin that registers with a system title

there are games that cannot be played on 3.60 that require 3.65.
What he meant is that someone with a modded console can use Vitamin/Mai to decrypt any game they can play, and therefore (usually) run 3.61+ games on another 3.60 console (with the usual inaccuracies/limitations of decrypted dumps, and only if the games don't actually use 3.61+ functions - are there any? lol)

I don't really care about the dumper part of Maidump, it was mainly to install the various games floating around that aren't in PKG form. Maidump has been a lifesaver for these, presumably they were originally dumped via Maidump. I haven't looked into any other tool to convert them to pkg, but I would assume one exists.

Thanks for the reply, you've been very helpful.
