How to use your Loadiine saves with USB/NAND installed games

So I made this quick tutorial for injecting a Loadiine save file to Wii U memory using Saviine:

For the game Zelda TP HD (as an exemple):
-Install the game on your USB HDD using WUPInstaller
-Launch the game (important!) to create a save file to the Wii U memory.
-Quit the game
-On PC, download Saviine and start dump.bat (saviine1.1b\server\dump.bat) and close it just after. (It will create a folder saviine_root )
-In this "saviine_root" folder, create a "inject" folder. And inside this "inject" folder, create a new folder named with the title ID of your game. (For Zelda TP, I created a "00050000-1019E600" folder.)
So I have: saviine1.1b\server\saviine_root\inject\00050000-1019E600\

-Now inside of this "00050000-1019E600" folder, just copy your Loadiine save (must be "unique mode" and not "shared mode" )
For Zelda TP, I copy both "80000001" folder and "common" folder inside of the "00050000-1019E600" folder.

-On your Wii U, launch Saviine
-Enter your computer's IP address and press X to return to home menu
-On your PC, launch inject.bat
-On Wii U, launch your USB game
-On PC you have to choose your save to inject.
-Done :)

Hi everyone. I have a loadiine save for TMSFE (EUR) and now I am playing on a USA backup on usb. Saviine works, but fails at injecting, I thinkbecause the save is european and the game is USA. How can I convert this save?

if you use android, there's probably a FTP client for android, right?
You can use FTPiiU everywhere to read/write files to your console.

I tried that, but I must have done something wrong because Mario Kart 8 refused to see the save file and outright ignored the files, forcing me to start from scratch.

Weird, I tried Lost World again, but this time replacing my save file with the downloaded one without deleting beforehand and it stuck this time. I stopped doing it before hand because Mario Kart 8 had locked up on the splash screen after my FTP client botched the replacement.

Huh, it turns out that in order for the downloaded save file to stick, you need to overwrite your own files when FTPing. MiXplorer Beta craps out when overwriting several files, but X-plore does it faster and completes it. I managed to inject the BOTW save I had downloaded, as well as a Sonic Lost World save. Perhaps when I get my Y-cable for my Seagate hard drive (My household only allows so many things plugged in at once so I can't use a hard drive with external power) I'll try Mario Kart 8 again.

Edit: Decided instead to use the externally powered hard drive in exchange for just takijg a break when the Gamepad dies, and tried Mario Kart 8 again. Did a direct replace, and this time the save was accepted.

it's probably because replacing an existing file keeps its permission.
deleting and adding a new file has the permission reset, you need a FTP client which let you set the file permission (most of them should do it).
Like I said, you need to know the proper file permission for savegame files.

you could try 644 as permission value to set write value to owner (the console).
Owner : read/write
Group : read
world : read

0644 -rw-r--r--

by default it's probably set to 666 (read only) and the console can't open the file in write mode.

This tutorial pops up on the first search on GBAtemp en Google, but is is really outdated now because SaveMii Mod 5 can do this all on the Wii U self. So you don't need a PC for this or even any knowledge about the foldernames.

Unfortunately I was almost finished with setting up this method before I by coincidence discovered the great SaveMii tool. Hopefully SaveMii can be mentioned in the first post before others using this far more difficult method!

Well, it can be usefull for other users: you can find your ID title using this page.
And/Or your user ID making a save of any game using the dumping section of the saviine tutorial (it will create folders named with your user ID and ID title)
