I told you that it was inappropriate, and if you still persisted to use the avatar then PM another moderator - I was through with the whole issue. That's probably why it took me so long to reply to your PM. Plus, I have other things to do than worry about a member's avatar.

Also, I hate people who whine about free things - like the board.
GBAtemp staff doesn't owe you anything, not even a right to an avatar.
Think about that before complaining and whining over moderating actions and features on the board.

I wouldn't "whine" about a mod's actions if they can CLEARLY explain why they do something...

If I were to, let's say, just go and do nothing but flame people for the next 100 posts, and I get banned... I'm not gonna ask why...

If, let's say, a mod removes my avatar, tells me to read the rules, and when I do, I can find nothing related, then ask the mod, TWICE why it's inappropriate, and he refuses to answer, and 40 hours later I start a thread to get to the bottom of it, and then said Mod suspends me for trying to get his attention with a clearly biased avatar... I think that Mod "has some splain'in to do"!!

I'm Mod on several different boards, and even have a board of my own for my WoW guild... and if someone breaks the rules, they are punished... but when you make up rules, and punish people, and can't explain why, that's just bad modding. You'd have a serious reprimand coming if this were my board... but it isn't, and therefore I cannot do anything, but pray you get what's coming to you.

i think the thing that bothers many (ok, at least me) here is the blatant hypocrisy involved.
Impartiality is an important aspect of being able to moderate effectively whilst maintaining the respect of the board.

Bold #2: I also asked JPH a question and he linked me to site rules which didn't answer my question at all.
Bold #3: Also agree, and I won't name the mods I think offend these rules but I think they know who they are.

I wasn't going to post here, but from the rules:

Your posted and linked images, avatars and signatures are constantly reviewed by the moderating staff. Images or content that the GBAtemp Staff find are too big or that are deemed inappropriate including obscene, pornographic, vulgar and any other distasteful or sexually explicit material will be censored, edited or removed with OR without notice; and may result in the member being warned, suspended or banned.
It's hardly a made up rule. It states that images/content that an individual staff member finds inappropriate will be removed. It also states that it will be done with OR without notice. So it's not bad moderating, it's not something he made up on the spot, it's something you overlooked.

Also, one of the other rules is:
