In your opinion, do you think Nintendos console line or handheld line is better, in terms of their respective gens?

(Switch is classed as a console, not handheld)

I mean sale statistics aren't really an opinion... One sold better than the other, and that's a fact lol. Which had more of an impact, which was more visual... Those might be closer to opinions.

I mean, I Think handhelds beat Consoles.
and the only reason I have consoles is because the games I want to play aren't on the handheld.

Because I usually play games on handheld.

Well their handhelds have basically been king since the Gameboy whereas their home consoles haven't held sway since the SNES, so my choice would be the obvious one.

Though, IMO, the 3DS isn't nearly as "great" as their previous handhelds were. DS and lower were basically god-sends, but the 3DS doesn't really have that appeal to me.

Good question, i personally would say Handhelds prior to Switch hitting the markets. The reason why is because the Switch is a hybrid and thus changes the entire playing field.

Hard choice between the gamecube and 3ds, their handheld have in general great games, on the other side the console had metroid prime which I consider the best game of all time, in general I consider their handhelds as the best, like I consider the 360 has the best games of any generation, but they doesn't stand up in comparison to other Nintendo games

Not sure how outdated this info is, but here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles

According to it, Nintendo DS was the best selling console from nintendo.
The PlayStation 2 had a really unfair advantage over every other console, that one being that it was still being sold after the PS3 came out, I believe it was one of the longest running console sales in history, with almost a decade in stores.

I mean, just look at this:
https://www.digitaltrends.com/gamin...n-of-the-worlds-most-successful-game-console/

It was still being sold in late 2012, and the thing came out in 2000.
Really unfair when compared to the other systems, but whatever.

The DS is for sure the king of handhelds at the moment.

No, its not unfair, i mean, the Nintendo Wii could still be selling up to this day, but to each their own, nintendo decide to kill system at their own phase, so, its like saying, what company do you think has more mascot games, well nintendo has mario, well yeah, but nintendo pull around 6 -12 mario games per console, including the remixes, the HDs, and what so ever.

So i dont think its an advantage.
