So... am I still the only one who experiences freezes whenever leaving a game through Loadiine?

While I now prefer to install my games on NAND, DS emulation (and 2x resolution) is so much easier with it.

I haven't use the wii u in a long time, today I updated to latest loadiine (which I thought was dead).
I didn't know loadiine have 2 more updates since I last use it.

Anyways, the game yoshi's woollly world when pressing home and close software it does hang at wii U logo white screen and get stuck there.

I tried few others games like mario maker, splatoon, sonic lost world (gave a black screen dump at first time), and they all closed fine going back to miimaker.

interesting enough yoshi's woollly world is the only "PAL" game that I have currently in loadiine. I don't know if that matters but all others are USA region.

Update: I put old Loadiine-nightly-42863b5 back in sdcard and the game yoshi's woollly world quits fine back to miimaker!!

i couldn't get it to work. I don't know much about loadliine but i'm guessing it requires that i have an injectable game and i have smash bros but it isn't working. I wanted to put all of my shovelware on an sd card to clean my menu up.

Does Loadiine still work if you have CFW? I content to have to get another game collection just to run games from USB, as I have a large Loadiine format collection. I would only do CFW if it meant I didn't have to do the web hack any more, which on 5.5.2, works only after many tries.

Yes, of course Loadiine works with CFW, that's what it's for; to patch your system so that you can run Homebrew like Loadiine (and CFW also allows you to do many other things besides this). Basically, anything you can do with the web exploit, you can also do with CFW.

And yes, once you have CFW like Haxchi, you don't need to use the Web Exploit. That probably goes for Mocha too, but don't quote me on that.

Tried using loadiine and it kept on freezing
Tried about 5 times, still no luck
Any suggestions what I can do ?

Need more info than this. For starters, which version of Loadiine are you using and what firmware version is your system on?

Also, how are you patching the system and running Loadiine? Eg. Web Exploit, Haxchi, ColdBoot Haxchi, Mocha etc.

Sorry but going to quote you on that lol well as Mocha is loaded using the web exploit then the web exploit is very much needed.

But...But I told you not to quote me:sad:

XD, just kidding. Fair enough, I really wasn't sure; I use Haxchi myself and haven't used anything else, so yeah.

I don't know what the format is called but there is a tutorial here, which shows you step by step how to convert Loadiine ready games to an installable format. With that being said though, it's a lot easier to simply download the games using Wii U USB Helper. The games will already be in the correct format, and you won't risk any errors that may occur by trying to manually convert your games.

Yes, Loadiine Works on 5.5.2. And if you are asking if Loadiine can run games from an USB device, then no. Loadiine can only run games off an SD Card.
Hey, i cant get it to work. Im on 5.5.2 and i just get this message when trying to open Loadiine from the Homebrew launcher: "Missing all OS specific addresses"

Where do I place the DLCs on my SD card? I have the unpacked DLCs right now and they're in three folders: code, content, and meta. I don't see those aocxxxxx files that I'm apparently supposed to.

Guys, Loadiine was made useless when the Brazilian fake ticket method was released.

At this point all Loadiine is is an extra complication in the process.

1) Install Haxchi, HBL and WUP Installer
2) Download Wii U Eshop Helper on PC
3) Download games
4) Put them on USB and put USB into console
5) Run Haxchi
6) Boot HBL then WUP Installer
7) Follow on screen instructions to install game
8) Play games direct from Menu as though you bought them with full update and DLC support as well as online play

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)

    run h2testw on it

yes looks like an faulty sd

@The Real Jdbye, I considered that, but i'll have to wait until i can get the eu version in the mail lol
