What issue? As long as the Switch is on, the controller will connect. You only need to press the sync button to pair it the first time.
rly??
okay so when you first sync it for the first time.

after that when your switch is either in sleep or powered off and then lets say you turn it back on using your (joycons home button) will you then be able to connect your DS4 directly without needing to go press any button on the mayflash dongle?

i thought i read that it has a bug the one where you will have to redo the pressing button every time the switch is sleep/off.

Right. I've never heard of that bug or had it happen to me. You can't turn the Switch on with a PS4 controller, but once it's awake, it'll connect. No need to get up.

that's so neat, how is the connectivity? I've read from some amazon reviews having issues with connection at times and that they needed to re-insert the dongle in order to get to work.

if connectivity is good (and also is there any noticeable input lag?) if those are fine, I'll order one away soon.

I've never had any issues with mine, but I don't see why those people would lie. I can't feel any lag. It feels the same as my pro controller.

got this thing recently and it's so sweet, no lag and connects quick no issues.

but id like to know whether there's a way to change A button to X (for my DS4) controller.

i managed to change this for my wiiu usage, this thing works fine with wiiu using that hid app!!
i modified the few ini files (Nintendont/mayflashmagicns) and on wii u i have A set to X , i was wondering if there's a way to do this on the switch as well somehow?

if not, then the only way wed be able to do this is through homebrew, so gotta wait it out then.

Try to play Mario Odyssey and get back to us. See how well the rumble mechanics works...lol (maybe they patched it for all I know...)

You can't, only on the Xbox one controllers.

Rumble works like any 3rd party controller would.

It sure as fuck didn't the last time I used my Dual Shock 4 with Odyssey but that was quite a while ago. Rumble was TOO STRONG and triggered motion controls.

i dont use rumble, i dislike vibration.
so i usually always have it off, so that's not an issue.

other than that I'm very impressed with this thing.

you can change the vibration amount with the purple led mode.
that's what it says in the logs.

The bug was if you disabled rumble you disabled motion controls and wouldn't be able to use those functions which are SOMETIMES crucial for gameplay. If you enabled motion controls, you'd also get rumble which made the controller go crazy. It was all fucked up but maybe it was fixed. I couldn't get the purple LED mode working at all. I will try again.

The disabled rumble is now partially fixed in Splatoon 2 and possibly other games.
Strong rumble signals won't be sent to the controller, weak signals still get through.
So submerging into ink or swimming in it still makes the controller rumble like crazy as it quickly piles up.

The controller adapter from 8bitdo doesn't filter out signals at all and also piles up the rumble signals to a way too strong rumble.

Did you update your magic-ns before you started using it?
The manual said you had to do that.

Also, If you couldn't get into purple mode, How did you even get rumble.
The only other mode that works on the switch is RED mode, and that one doesn't support Rumble/Motion controls.

You seem butthurt but things don't even add up pal.

"I'm trying the pro mode with my dualshock 4 in Odyssey and it seems like if I turn motion controls off it's still active if I turn rumble on. And the rumble is so strong it constantly activates motion controls...which also seems supersensitive to begin with."

That's my post from a few months back on page 5 or something and maybe some follow ups later if you can be bothered to read it. I just remember I always used red mode, tried purple once but it didn't work.

Once again, Doesn't explain how you have motion/rumble in a non supported mode.

8Bitdo connector has a way to change the ruble intensity by the by, and is cheaper. You might want to look into that, However the deadzone of the stick is very absent on this. For better or worse.

Simple question:
I have the Magic-NS. I've updated to the latest firmware. How do I sync my Wiimote to it for use on a PC?

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
