A new update is available! Nintendo has just released a firmware update for the Switch, bringing it to version 16.0.0. The patch notes are pretty sparse, only offering a single specific change, which merely replaces unusable nicknames with "???". There's also some general system stability improvements, which unsurprisingly break support for CFW. SciresM has announced that a compatability update for Atmosphere will be worked on as soon as possible.

actually on ebay, its VERY hard to get scammed. as someone who sells stuff from time to time, buyers have all the power in the world. This is a true story, i was gonna buy a PS4 back in the day from someone, turned out to be a scammer, i emailed ebay and they gave me all my money back, so idk what ebay youve been using but, dont, use real ebay.

It will be released when it's been done. Just remember that these people that are smart enough to do the software, do it for fun and are not being paid, they also have jobs, sleep, eat meals, spend time with their families, and do this in their spare time when they are not busy doing something else. Don't bother with asking for timescales, you'll get it once it's complete and been tested & not before.

You don’t have to be mean about the question. I’m just curious if the current update projects to be substantially more complicated than updates in the past, which tend to be released in a timely manner.

I just dumped the firmware, used the new lockpic_rcm to get decryption keys and then ran the firmware through IPS Patch Creator and that was the output, I didn't test, or decompile with IDA to check the routines, once Atmosphere is released, I will test out.

I get an error screen trying to boot the new fusee bin that is provided in the atmosphere. Running hwfly 4.1 OLED did same thing other guy did and hit the A Button by accident and it updated. Any help or do I need to re setup my SD card!?

Atmosphere worked fine for me with the new release. My issue was getting games to load, which was fixed by updating the sigpatches. Don’t know what caused that error page to appear.

Maybe try a fresh install by deleting all atmosphere related files and then installing the new release?

PS: obviously this will never happen, for obvious reasons, but it sure would be nice if Nintendo required you to accept and then confirm for a new system update to be installed. That way two button commands would be required, which would prevent accidental updates.
