Well, if you want to replay it. As for me, I won't replay it again, but still be happy, cause more ppl gonna enjoy this touching game.^ and think of it like this, if you've been waiting for a long time, it's not hard to wait longer. My logic sounds stupid, but if you enjoy the game untranslated, you'll be even happier when the patch IS released, yaknow?
Why wait when people can help/do their own translation project? I've already seen incomplete projects with groups getting disbanded in the past. Hardest part of these translations is having to reverse engineer file formats and hacking text back into the games themselves. I'm a patient fellow though and am grateful for those working on this project so far.^ and think of it like this, if you've been waiting for a long time, it's not hard to wait longer. I knew that if I didn't put a disclaimer saying that I make it sound like there is less to do than it actually is you'd show up splitting hairs apologizing for Jam.You do know that programming work is still a ton of work right? Like... That's most definitely a good 10~30% of the total project workload left, not just the 1% estimate they give because everything except that is done. And the person you responded to never said anything about the translation.
I don't even care about this project, I just think it's stupid how you make these ridiculous assumptions about the project and translation in general, so I reply to it. Because it's blatantly wrong.I knew that if I didn't put a disclaimer saying that I make it sound like there is less to do than it actually is you'd show up splitting hairs apologizing for Jam.
Then what are you even doing here?I don't even care about this project,
You do realize that your assumption is as good as mine, right? I at least try to base my assumptions off things said by people who're working on the patch and according to them the Translation is done, a few textures still need to be inserted since the translation team couldn't get all of them inserted by themselves, a few UI elements need to be translated again for the same reasons, Videos need to be properly subbed and memory leaks need to be taken care of due to bad compression. We're talking about at most 10% total work that's all sitting on Jam's shoulders since the translators can't romhack. If you assume that Jam did literally nothing during the past 4 years and all we would have had was un-inserted translated text then yeah 30% would sound more realistic but that assumption would be a little disrespectful towards him wouldn't it? Jam obviously made a lot of progress already, all that's left are the kinks he didn't manage to get rid of when he was still very active.I just think it's stupid how you make these ridiculous assumptions about the project and translation in general, so I reply to it. Because it's blatantly wrong.
You might as well just ignore this thread entirely. Doesn't matter if it's me or somebody else, in your view everybody who is remotely invested and asks for an update on this Project is an entitled fool. So why bother?anyway, I'm tired of seeing you so I'm gonna ignore you permanently now.
Oh yeah, this. This is definitely the best option imo if there's too much stuff preventing you from working. While we're at it I wonder if you guys tried approaching the Arks Layer team. They've been working on PSO2 Translation for almost 6 years now and are updating the English patch extremely fast. Even branching out to Vita version translations and Phantasy Star Nova basic Menu/Item/Prologue translations. I don't think they'd refuse to help.

Posts like yours aren't going to make it come out any faster either. Besides what about anything we said is inane? It's not like Weyu himself made a help wanted thread not too long ago so we're suggesting to ask other translations groups who work on the same franchise. If literal suggestions how to speed things up piss you off and appear to you like whining then I think you're the one who needs to move on. Because whining looks differently.Look guys, I know waiting is frustrating, but posts like these are not going to make it come out any faster; your accomplishing nothing except wasting massive amounts of time and pissing off large numbers of people by posting inane suggestions like these. Weyu has already stated unequivocally that this translation would be coming out no matter what, so if you can't accept Weyu's statement at face value then maybe you should just give up and move on; you're not making many friends with this constant stream of whining

when you know absolutely nothing at all about Jam, or his life, or any other commitments he might have. Hackers aren't just machines whose sole purpose in life is to crank out obscure game translations for your viewing pleasure; they're human beings who have lives outside hacking, and that sometimes requires them to put projects like these on hold for a while.
yes PLEASE do this, let the community help you guys outMirroring my post in another thread -- why don't you guys just release what you have now and let people fix it? The project is clearly not making very much progress and has been in development hell for a while now. If as much progress as the OP says has actually been made, then why not release it, so places like the PSU subreddits or any of the Phantasy Star generals on 4chan can get to work and fix it? That's what's happened in the past, buggy translations came out, and with shittons more people to look at them than just the devs of said translations, the problems were fixed.
For the last time, they've said multiple times they're not gonna release.yes PLEASE do this, let the community help you guys out
PLEASE release this
Yeah guys stop pressuring them to get this done when they obviously can't.For the last time, they've said multiple times they're not gonna release.
Stop pressuring them to when they don't want to.

No I wouldn't, I'd wait on someone with the time and skills to fix it, now that everyone can access it. The difference between an open source translation and whatever the fuck this current translation is (if it even EXISTS) is you can see actual progress instead of screenshots or hearsay. Sick assumptions but make some arguments instead mate. They said they're not going to release it unfinished. This isn't about "stop pressuring them to finish it" this is about you trying to pressure them into releasing it unfinished when they have stated multiple times they aren't going to do that and you're contributing nothing to the conversation but shitty post after shitty post whining about them not releasing it.
It won't even be playable if they release it, and then if they did, people would complain about it being broken, and you'd probably shit your pants whining about them not fixing it instead.
