I have a 2.3.0 Switch and I will get a pokken copy Saturday. For update to 3.0.0 what can I do exactly?
My opinion is:
1 disable software update from switch menu
2 be sure switch is no connected on internet
3 insert the 000 pokken copy and allow the game update

Thanks to all

thanks for you reply
so i need HAC 000 AND AVOID HAC 008?
avoid anything thats not 000
Things are getting confused here.

HAC-008 is the model number of all Switch cartridges. All Switch cartridges will say "HAC-008".

What you need to check is the manufacturing code *below* the model number. The last three digits indicates the ROM revision. For Pokkén Tournament DX, revision 000 has the v3.0.0 update; anything higher than 000 will have a later update.

In the following image you see the BAAZA- code in white letters.
Above that one, you can barely see a black indented print of letters and numbers which reads "HAC-008"
That's the one you should be looking for.
HAC-000 should be initial print, anything above 000 is a revision of the cart with an updated firmware in it.

Look here:
Nintendo-Switch-Cartridge.jpg
You are confusing things here... HAC is the hardware type id. Cartridges always have the HAC-008 while the switch sonsole has HAC-001
What you are looking for is the BAAZA... code. At the end of the code you see 20Y000. While 20 and Y are not interesting you need to look out for the following 000 number.

Check out the thread in my signature for revision codes of the games.

I just signed up for a free trial to Gamefly, then I rented out Pokken. Now, I'm just waiting for the game. I'm currently doomed on a 2.3.0 Switch. :(

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
