It's the biggest company in the earth. Think they haven't tested everything behind closed doors already ?
I see your point but it's a bit naive
What would be naive is to test everywhere but the WWW where it'll be finally hosted and expect it to work flawlessly when in production. They can't assume it will work flawlessly when deployed live. And biggest company on earth is probably not MS if you define big by market capitalization. More likely Apple.

Wow that's ridiculous. They can completely decide who they want to ban as it is their service, but seriously? It was no way his fault that he received his machine early. They should have just turned off regular access to the servers until launch day.

That's what they basically did.

He's not banned, and I'm pretty sure he'll get unbanned once the Xbox One launches.

It's a temp ban to be lifted near launch.
Sounds perfectly fair, people are overreacting if they think this is a big deal.
It's entirely his fault for being a spaz about getting it early.

Of course it is fair. The Xbox One console and Xbox Live are two different products. Just because you received the console early does not give you a right to access Xbox Live with it. Seems to me that Xbox did this guy a favor by sending him the patch to let him play early.
