Really, i think one of the biggest problems in literally ALL homebrew scenes is the incredible divergency that there is. There's always these two groups of people fighting eachother for which is the best CFW/Modification/Technical Issue/Anything. I'm not saying that everyone should invite eachother into the other's projects and become a big, giant single snowball, but many homebrew scenes boil down to who can deliver it faster, better, and who can derail eachother's project faster.
I really do like Rei's approach here. Because it's not really "backfiring" or being provocative in any kind of way really, at least in my vision. Rei's just "hey this is my cfw, use if you want!!!" without really comparisons or anything. I do really appreciate both RS team's and TX's overall work, and it's really interesting, but treating a homebrew scene as a rivalry isn't really the kind of good thing, since we are all quite looking to do the same kind of thing - homebrew our switchs' up.
