We haven't had any phone 'not working' as yet. So chances are if you have an android phone you're good to go. Also most Samsung's and other devices have come with the transfer dongle for a fair while. So good to go out of the box.

Awesome. Well that settles the, how the hell am I going to boot the Switch when the wife drags me kicking and screaming to the caravan :D

This sort of thing is why I always keep a couple of Android devices handy.

I'm just getting "App not installed." with no error details I can find in the logcat or anything. Any ideas anyone? I'm running marshmallow and the build.gradle says the minimum required is kitkat.
Fixed it, I tried installing with adb and it said there was no certificate (it's saying the apk wasn't signed - obviously it was but I guess with a certificate that doesn't work on older Androids). Signed it with a test key and it installed fine.
Haven't checked it actually works with my Switch as I don't have the cable yet.
