Hey guys,
Got a deal on an used PS Vita 1000. It came in already hacked, with Enso (as well as a bunch of other homebrew apps) installed, sd2vita and a 128gb sd card, but no original memory card.
Problem is, I don't want to keep any of the previous owner's stuff and would rather do the homebrew myself so I can learn the ropes, so I'm thinking I can use IMCUnlock (https://github.com/SKGleba/IMCUnlock) to create an internal memory card then uninstall CFW (following the guide at https://vita.hacks.guide/uninstalling-cfw.html) and format the device, as well as the sd card in order to hack it myself.
Can anyone confirm that I can do this safely without bricking my console?
Does IMCUnlock need Enso running to work properly or will my Vita behave just like a PSV 2000?
I've been tinkering with the 3ds and the Switch for a while now, but this is my first Vita, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that will work, but I don't know for sure. very few people uninstall cfw, and I've heard of no one who's tried using imcunlock to hack the system themselves, when it was already on cfw. afaik, the change is permanent.

My PS Vita is in the situation you are in but because I hacked it myself then used IMCUnlock on it. From what the dev SKGleba told me when i reached out for some help, IMCUnlock is permanent and the vita can be formatted though he did advise that that is under the end user's risk. I'd recomen using account switcher instead of a full format after doing the IMCUnlock. That way you can put your account and the setting up the sd2vita isn't a pain to set up all over again.

That's my advise from personal experience from modding my vita and a couple of my friend's PS Vita.

I figured it would probably be permanent, considering there's space on internal memory for it, it's just locked out. I guess sony wanted to sell memory cards. ironically, that's one of the things that led to the vita's failure.
