Atmosphere will release on every firmware, the entrypoint will be different. I can prove this by the fact that SciresM posts videos to his YouTube of Atmosphere running on 5.1.0. The information regarding which firmwares get Atmosphere is massively out of date. I have no idea how this is still happening in the middle of June, when this was public knowledge in May.
Then proof me wrong
Google Hitchen's Razor. I know you're correct, but logical fallacies do nothing for your case.

I already said that I don't care if people above me don't believe me. They're free to believe me or not believe me. I know untethered will be released on launch and we'll see on launch who is wrong or right. If they don't believe me well I am fine with that

You can't rage against misinformation and then simply check out when people try to get verification. A big fuss has been caused over this, and what for? If you're just gonna have a go at people and leave, why did you even come in the first place?
If it were a question of "it doesn't matter if they're wrong because i'll be proven right" then you shouldn't have come to this thread at all. Begone.

Calm your tits down. I can be wherever I want to be. I said from the beginning I am not going through millions of pages just to find what they need. If they wanted that then they have to search for that themselves. I said that from the beginning so I am not obliged to do that. If I did not say that from the beginning then I get your point but I did so yeah

Clearly reading isn't one of your strengths.

My point exactly, thanks. Everyone here knows that CFW will be available via jig.
Reading comprehension skills non-existent for some people.
I believe I included you because you conflated the two subjects in your, now edited, post (granted I did not post until after your edit):
Now I know to never neglect quoting or screenshotting what I'm responding to because deception is practiced everywhere on the ether. Hopefully block-chain will have mainstream adoption in social spaces sooner rather than later.

Following this thread has become quite odious.
I long for the day we get some actual releases out and don’t have to speculate any longer.
Perhaps at that point of release we can ask the mods to do a cull on all pre release Atmosphere (and TX) threads or stick them in another category for example to clear down the main forum.

Are you a troll? Stop spreading misinformation. CFW will NOT be released for 4.1.0 at the same time atmosphere is released.
SciresM has stated 100000000000 times that 1.0.0 gets atmosphere first, then 2.0.0 - 3.0.0, then 3.0.1 - 3.0.2, then 4.1.0 gets it last.
It was stated later on that 1.0.0 up to 4.1.0 would all get released at the same time, and subsequent firmwares would follow.

Argh. More debate.
Both of these viewpoints I have seen mentioned, in the distant past and more recently respectively.
But this emphasises my point.
For the benefit of the community, please can @SciresM come on here and clear up misconceptions with an up to date appraisal of where we are in Atmosphere’s release schedule.

Just follow GitHub. It'll be out for all firmwares when it's ready. Simple. Stop bitching.

For clarity that is atmosphere. The CFW. Now stop whining the lot of you and grow up.

It plainly means you can update now and still have access to atmosphere regardless of firmware. It also means that any statement saying atmosphere only works on 4.1 or lower is incorrect. It works on all FWs

I thought Atmosphere worked on 5.x.x this whole time, unless I was thinking of Exosphere instead. Maybe I confused the two, I thought one of these hacks was always working on 5.x.x? I don't even fully know what one does over the other; either way, either I risk using a jig and AutoRCM and potentially brick my Switch, or I somehow get another one.

I think you're right atmosphere has always been said to work on all FW but there has been a LOT of posts here saying it only works on 4.1 or less. Including the one I replied to. Just wanted to add proof and clarity to a thread of madness.

Before the Fusee leak, people assumed >4.1.0 consoles would be shit outta luck, so it was the same as it always is, don't update if you want cfw. But when Fusee leaked, it became known that anyone with a paperclip, copper wire or 3d printer and at least a 2 in dexterity could do it. 1.0.0 users would get it first, 2.0.0-3.0.2 would get it second, then everyone else, with a softmod solution for <4.1.0 in the works. At the time, only 3.0.0 had a homebrew launcher, with lower versions having Pegaswitch.

However, with Hekate, it became obvious that any release would be for all versions. That was a good day. All new demonstration videos that come from anyone who's anyone at all are on the latest firmware. It's going to be a hell of a release.

TL;DR: At this point, it's clear Atmosphere will release for everyone, but the entrypoint may include RCM, at least at launch, if you're above 3.0.2.

Uhhh okay, not sure why

Either way, AutoRCM/jig is a pain, can't be arsed to do it, I'd rather just try to see if I can get a Switch tablet by itself on 3.0.0.

Yeah, I might just wait, but I doubt 5.x.x will ever get a soft solution.
