Well Sony continues to rip off Nintendo this time stealing the Wii Motes...
And the response i hear from sony fans is "It's more accurate"...
So i guess they would get away with stealing the 3DS.

P.S. This is off topic but...100th POST!!!

I seriously believe that Sony was going to announce something at E3, but when they saw the 3DS hands-on, they quicky pulled their presentation. I doubt anything they had planned could've stood up to the strong showing of the 3DS.
do you know how much planning goes into a E3 press conference
they dont just pull things or change things within a few hours

and why would they not show a PSP2 if they saw the 3DS, it was already confirmed the 3DS would be shown at E3 weeks in advance
they just dont have any hardware or its not ready to be shown, lots of speculation it will be shown at TGS '10
I'm not that dense, and I agree with what your saying (yes I do know what goes into planning for E3). But I'm not the only one who feels that Sony withheld information about the next PSP at E3 2010. Planning for E3, yeah that's hard, but omitting a segment from the conference isn't that hard (and might be in the best interest).

They should make the PSP just a very powerful 3D media player with games support via PSN, if they used a 3D touch screen that alone would differentiate them from Nintendo, the problem is it would cost huge amounts $$$

Well 3D is indeed a revolutionary introduction into the gaming world, they have every right to be intimidated, especially when the 3DS overpowers the PSP so easily

Sure, PS3 has HD but Nintendo always comes up with stuff to amaze us
biggrin.gif

Sony's biggest surprise...[SARCASM]Oh yeah High Definition![/SARCASM]

You act like HD doesn't matter. If you even played games in HD (Xbox 360 or PS3) you'll understand that there's a huge leap between non-HD and HD. Even games like Super Mario Galaxy are outmatched by games in HD like Resident Evil 5.

Sony does make new stuff that amazes us. Go play some Sony games why dontcha? The PS2 is one of the best consoles out there, especially now (since the consoles are dirt cheap and games are even cheaper). Go buy one, go buy Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, God of War, Devil May Cry, the list goes on, and then you can finally start talking down on Sony.

And Jesus Christ, all you want is a closed off market. Why can't Sony just make their shit? Instead you're like "NINTENDO NEEDS TO KILL THEM". The blind following here is astounding.

It is more accurate. Look at the demos. Even compared to a Wiimote with WM+ it's more accurate. Does it matter how much of a ripoff it is if it A) works better and B) has a good library to back it up? And before you say "IT HAS NO GAMES LOL", I'll say it does. Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet 2 (the first one is getting patched to work with it as well), Heroes on the Move, Dead Space 2 (limited edition includes a compatible Dead Space: Extraction as well), and it can only go up from there.

As for 3D, you realize Sony had been into 3D before the 3DS was even announced, let alone confirmed at E3 this year? Ever since Avatar came out 3D is the big craze. I should just accuse Nintendo of hopping on the bandwagon then. Sony has been making 3D TVs and 3D compatible games before the 3DS.

You back up 100% assumption with 0% facts. Fuck I don't even have a PS3 and I'm defending Sony.

Actually Nintendo have been trying to get 3D into their consoles for a long long time, but haven't felt it was the right time till now. I remembering seeing a source where Nintendo wanted to add a attachable 3D screen back of a gamecube for a specific Mario game, can't remember which one, it went out of favour cuz wouldn't appeal to the audience.

Also Nintendo wanted to add 3D to their GBA sp, again it went of of favour cz the hardware wasn't strong enough to support it

Talking and mumblings doesn't equate to Sony "copycatting" Nintendo. I'm sure every company has had ideas for everything from motion control to 3D in mumblings and ideas. But until now it hasn't come to anything, and when Avatar was released and 3D became legitimate in terms of entertainment, Sony went on with 3D TVs and 3D gaming before Nintendo and their 3DS.

Big wall of text.
Not to suck your dick or anything, but I have to agree. I admit, I tend to jump on the Sony haters bandwagon (though I really did hate Sony as a company before that but that's because of my own personal experiences with them, among other things), but even still, I own a PS3 and its great, I own a big Sony TV. They make products I like, so why make myself miss out just because I don't like the company that makes it.

While we're on the topic of Sony copying Nintendo, we all know they've been making dick statements lately, but then again, most people only realize this because everyone's watching Sony. Sony and Nintendo are really the only competitors in the handheld market and Nintendo just announced a new console, so everyone's watching Sony to see what they do. These kind of comments are really anything new from Sony. It would have happened with any company.

I have never said Sony is copying Nintendo, That was my first post this this thread. All I stated is that Nintendo have been trying to inplant 3D for sometime but didn't happen till now. Sony is the first to go and announce what they are doing and releasing it ahead of others, regardless 3DS may have been in development for quite sometime so it's not something you can say Nintendo is trying to steal 3D ideas from Sony.

Personally, I have nothing against Sony copying Nintendo. Any time a new product works well and gains appeal, other companies imitate it. That is how things work.
The thing that I get pissed about is when Sony bashes something Nintendo puts out, and then, when it is successful, they copy it. If Sony wants to copy other companies, they should keep there mouth shut and just do it, rather then be hypocrites.

Sony eat and shit out the same hole, but they still make damn fine products. Everyone knows Sony is all talk, they've just gotten used to it. It's trolling on the corporate scale

Yes Sony is scared but Nintendo should really put the "Frosting on the cake" with Multi-Touch Technology and Kill the iPod Touch.

Okay i was arguing with this psp obsessive fanboy about the 3DS graphics. He says that the graphics are only as good as a first gen ps2 game and that the psp KH BBS's graphics look better than the KH3D. I said that The 3DS does have better graphics, and that the graphics are better than the ps2's graphics. Does anyone agree with me.

Plus the fact the 3DS has 3D...
If they don't put a special thing to it then it won't be very popular...
And if they put 3D/Touch/Motion Control/2+ Screens it will just seem like they are copying Nintendo...

This is quite an interesting position for Sony to be stuck with. Any move they do, it will seem like they are copying Nintendo. But if you think about, they really are.

The Sony Move is WTF exact rip-off of the Wii. Seriously? You make it black and with a light bulb on top?

Anyway, yes. I think they really are intimidated. And they should be! Nintendo 3DS is coming to town!
