Homebrew Could a Wii U channel/forwarder be made for the Wii Homebrew Super Mario War with gamepad support?

I'm curious if this is possible, considering I've seen Wii, Gamecube, Wiiware, Wii emulators, etc. games now launchable this way with the added support of the gamepad controller. I'm curious if the same could be done for the Wii homebrew Super Mario War, my personal favorite homebrew game the Wii had the offer. I would really love it if this is possible.
