Hey, the only reason I'm on the latest FW is because the Switch we have is a shared console and I'm not allowed to hack it when the exploits get released. It's getting there. Where are those people now claiming it will take another couple of years talking shit to other people not updating
Go on... because at this very moment, I don't agree with you. Since the checks are still with the fuses and firmwares. If so, you need a custom patcher to inject new code to the fuses checking parts to either ignore them or always "agree" with the amount blewn.it looks like modchips are possible to dowith the switch

My parents got us (me and my two annoying brothers) a Switch for Christmas (or as I like to call it this year: Switchmas), and it's shared among us, and they won't let me hack it.According to who? Sounds like a regime to me.

Thanks. Wow. Shit just just got real.... time to source a copy of Pokken

I second this, does this have to be compiled for each rom that we want to play, if so I'm looking forward to someone making a program where you just select the rom on your PC and it will compile it for you. Until we have a proper Homebrew launcher going through pegaswitch will be fine enough, just the compiling part seems to be a bit too much for the end user (I just want to finally play Chrono trigger or super Metroid on my switch)[/QUOTE]So how do we even...? Get this.... running...? Does the switch have to be connected to pc to run? Who wants to compile a copy and send it muy way?
mine came on 4.0.0 must be new stock because they sold all the other onesMy parents got us (me and my two annoying brothers) a Switch for Christmas (or as I like to call it this year: Switchmas), and it's shared among us, and they won't let me hack it.
for some reason Nintendo systems are the most hacked unlike xbox and playsationPS3 kinda ruined that expectation for me, it's not worth the process of downgrading just to hack the firmware, yadda yadda. Sounds like Nintendo learned their lesson with security, and are really keeping on top of firmware releases, so...yeah, I'm cynical about the whole thing.
I want to be hopeful, I do, I just don't want to get burned.
In fairness, you made 3 separate posts asking how to launch/what did you miss in less than 5 minutes. Why can't people keep their pants on wait for a launcher/GUI?
