Hey guys,

I wonder if someone could maybe help me. I have hacked my Wii U successfully and have dumped my games. I have used CDdecrypt to decrypt them and all is fine but one. I am having issues with 'Paper Mario: Color Splash' PAL edition. Every time I go to decrypt it, it stops and says "Failed to verify H0 hash".

This only happens for this game, all the others work. Also, I am sure the disc is clean, in fact, it is is the best condition out of all my discs.

If someone could help? or point me in the right direction that would be a great help to me. Thanks, guys :D

Not sure if this helps but have a read of this post below and the replies after it:

I'm allowing myself to dig out that thread: I dumped my wii u games with Wud2app to the *.app format. How do I convert these files into the rpx/Loadiine format?

Is it possible to use a legit ticket with a converted game so that way I don't have to start a custom firmware each time I want to start the game, I tried replacing the ticket from the console with a legit one but it keeps me showing the generic error 199-9999, someone knows if this can be done?

I have not used jWUDTool before so I can't comment if it's an easier to use or not, but below is how I used to extract/decrypt WUD files.

Without getting into the step by step process, this is a manually driven process, since you have a WUX file, which is a compressed WUD file, below is the run down as to what you need to do:

  • You need to decompress your WUX file back to WUD file using WUD Compress tool, which can be found HERE.
  • Then you need to decompress the WUD file using a app called "DiscU_4.1b", google is your friend. Below is the command line you need to use:
    • DiscU.exe game.key game.wud c
      • Where "game" is the file name of your WUD file, for simplicity sake, just rename the WUD file to "game.wud".
      • The most important part is the *.key file, each game has a unique disc key, without it, you will not be able to decrypt the WUD file. The *.key file is a HEX decimal file which contains the unique disc key. Piracy is not condoned (had to put this disclaimer) but if you happen to download the WUD file, it should have included the *.key file or a scene release NFO file that will have the HEX decimal key info included. If this is the case, then you will need to create a *.key file, easiest way is to create a text (txt) file, rename the extension to .key and use HEX edit software to edit the file and then copy and paste the HEX decimal key. If you don't have the *.key file then try google.
  • Once the WUD file has been decrypted, you will get a few folders (it's been a while so can't remember what the folders are), one will contain the WUP files, .app/.h3/.cert/.tmd files.
  • The most important file you still need is the title.tik file, this should be in another folder, system folder I believe.
  • Now you have all the needed WUP installer files, proceed to copy the files to SD CARD and install as per normal.
  • Please note: You may more than one folder that contains the .app/.h3/.cert/.tmd files, reason for this is that, since the WUD file is a 1:1 copy of the retail disc, the retail disc may contain game updates, hence the multiple folders, you know it's a game since the total size of the file is large.
I'm sure there is other ways do the above, and possible much simpler like jWUDTool, but the above is what I used to do, it's a long manual process, that is how I roll. It's been a while and I may have left some info out but that is pretty much what you need to do if you want to go down this manual driven road.

I read the guide and I'm extremely confused. I have the ISO file for NES Remix Pack and I'm unsure how to convert it into a WUP Folder
