It's not a surprise that republicans are against socialism, but why go the extra effort to mislead the titles? Obviously Republicans would encourage access to contraceptives if there was money to be made. Obviously Republicans would vote against "ghost guns" if it empowered the 2a. It's okay with me if you want to balloon inflation and have a "society on rails", but I don't see you gaining support with this method. Nothing about it can gain support. It can only reinforce the support of people who are already on the same edge as you are and turn away centrists who actually care about everyone.

By taking dishonest measures to make your opposition look crazy, you are showing the hand that you don't mind coercive measures via deception, and that works against you.

That said: I can't say I'm surprised in the least. The allegations were leaked when this case began...2019, iirc.
Then again, the fact that he went that far to hide his tax records after promising he'd show them means you can go back all the way to his 2016 candidacy.

I'm kind of wondering why articles still bother to quote Donald Trump: he just does this stupid conman impression he always does. Mark my words: if he falls out of a window, his last words while falling will be something in the lines of "gravity is being very un-American again!!!"

It's an interesting development, but this isn't the right conclusion. The voting machine tampering isn't related to the game electors which isn't related to that phone call to find those votes. Except, of course, that these combined form the conspiracy of proven.
Truth is that Hall barely if ever met Trump (got that from another source this morning), and was really a foot soldier for Powell in this case.
Trump nor the republican party has any reason to cheer for Hall, and I doubt it'll even diminish their perception of the with hunt.

Exactly, the people one rung up the ladder know that Hall will be telling prosecutors all about them, which puts pressure on one of them to flip and sell out someone even higher than themselves. And we all know who was at the top of the whole thing. The verdict could end up being a lock before the trial even begins.

Indeed. Mark Meadows is arguably next. He accepted an immunity plea deal for a testimony (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ws-trump-overturn-election-tesitmony-immunity).

The'arguably'is because that's in the federal case, not the georgia one. Not sure if that extends to this case as well, though the testimony is of course important.
