Didn't they also dox people over that game because they were playing it?

and if were being honest, JK rolling made 0 bucks from sales. She only made money from the licence to use it.

There's nothing wrong with being labeled what the left calls transpobic. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to accept males that pretend or are delusional and think they can change their birth sex. There's nothing wrong with JK Rowling and her defense for women over men. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion on issues that differ from people who would destroy your life for not sharing theirs. You clearly see how the left treats people that don't follow their beliefs and it's sickening. Far worse than not calling a person a women when they were born a man.

Let’s not discuss public executions on the forum - that’d be great.

I mean the way the right treats people who don't conform to their ideals is pretty rancid tbh. The hypocrisy is palpable.

Yeah...lots of buzz on it. Hard to deny it. But even so...really? Tax fraud, pressuring Ukraine (pre-war), leading the attack on the capitol, stealing state secrets...and what's the indiction about?

Having an affair with a porn star.

I don't need a lecture to know it's immoral, but just how fucking slow is your justice department? This is from, what? Early 2016? By the time they'll get around to prosecuting him for the serious stuff, he has long died of old age.

Also: what are those 34 cases? From your own links, I get

"The exact charge or charges are unknown, because the grand jury indictment was filed under seal."

I don't doubt there'll be so many cases incoming, but for now everyone seems to be reporting that "it is happening" without bothering to clarify what the "it" is that's busy happening.

I realize I'm quoting an older post. One thing you have to remember is the scope of the prosecution, and who the prosecutors are. The County of New York are the ones charging him from what I understand, not the Federal Government.

I do agree though. It's stupid that of all the fraud this man has committed (which is also a bit of a focus in the case), the thing that the media is making the biggest deal of is the whole porn star affair. I guess they're trying to pretend that the City, County and State of New York haven't been letting too many big businessmen get away with the same shady business practices that Trump has committed for several decades now. Especially when you consider where some of these big organizations that are reporting on the case are doing much of their business.

Really, the City, County and State of New York, and a lot of the corporations that have (or had) headquarters under their jurisdiction need to be investigated. But we all know that's not going to happen. After all, a lot of the Democratic big heads in New York are old school, New York Democrats who embraced Neo-liberalism, because beneath its facade, it takes a lot of the same business ideals of Reaganomics and just covers it with a different coat of paint.

I'm shocked a right wing mod deleted data that debunked the claim that the left are groomers and proved it's generally right wingers.

Shocked I tell ya

Your post was a reply to a deleted post - even if you made a salient point, it’s a point in response to a post that’s no longer here. I don’t know what to tell you, maybe you shouldn’t be responding to obvious trolling.

Surprising their still trying to do this after he's been out of office, you'd probably forget about him if people just stopped bringing him up but it's all people talk about. Plenty going on with the current term that's getting passed by...

Most of the "problems" the left had with Trump, which are numerous, are the same exact problems Biden has right now. However, let's not focus on him because he gets a blanket pass on anything he does.

Most leftists are critical of Biden as well. I for one cannot stand either of them. Trump is a misogynistic, transphobic, racist, bellend and Biden is fucking creepy and I question his ability to run a country. Biden isn't a leftist, he's more centre maybe left leaning but he's not left. Even though I'm a leftist I have no issue in calling out the political parties I support if they're in the wrong. And the problems we have/had with Trump are and continue to be very valid.

Maybe you just answered your own question. Trump is the "look, squirrel!" distraction to that "Plenty going on with the current term."

That’s the nature of justification - anyone can find a reason to do anything. I understand that coping mechanisms are kicking in, but the cognitive dissonance is still fun to watch.
There’s a saying in my country, it goes like this: “it doesn’t matter what people are saying so long as they’re taking about you”, and it rings true. Hogwarts Legacy surpassed WB’s expectations by a ridiculous margin, something like 256% if I remember correctly, and a lot of that can be attributed to the free advertising it received.
The silliest part about the HL controversy was that the developers were already on the side of the community from the beginning. The game has gay and trans representation, and you can make the main character trans if you want. Rowling's name is also nowhere to be seen on the title card or in any of the promotional materials.

Regardless, my point is that establishing equal rights under the law is an actual political issue that the Democrats can and have taken action on in the past. No matter what they say in front of the camera, Republicans don't give a fuck about the rainbow on Bob's beer can. While their constituents are distracted by that, they're busy doing stuff like repealing child labor laws and generally acting like cartoon villains.

Establishing equal rights under the law is a very noble goal, but depending on your point of view you could easily argue that it was already achieved a long time ago. As far as child labour laws are concerned, I don’t really see the issue so long as OSHA standards are adhered to. I had a job at a very young age, long before I would’ve been allowed to have one under U.S. laws, so it’s not particularly jarring to me. Working until 9 P.M. or doing construction are not “cartoonishly villainous” ideas, it’s something I did every summer with my dad, and earned a pretty penny doing so. Since you’re on the side of equal rights under the law, it’s a little odd that you’re on the side of agism (ah-ha!) in this regard. Hard for me to argue one way or the other without looking into the specifics, but I’m not terribly opposed to the concept of children working within whatever limited capacity they have if they’re safe and receive fair remuneration. Based on the article you’ve linked young workers are already being hired illegally, regardless of the law, so it’s happening either way - loosening regulations will allow businesses to do so legally and will introduce a degree of government oversight into an area of labour that was previously conducted under the table. For all intents and purposes that could make it more fair for the workers, not less. Nobody’s forcing them to work, but those who do want to work will have their rights expanded as they will no longer be working illegally.

That's every big news story these days, I feel like. Constantly moving on to the next thing, don't give people time to dwell on anything.
This is by design. It's not possible for individuals to catch up amid the information glut that they are assaulted with. At some point, a person has to tune out, then select which topics to pursue and "deep dive" into topics of interest. It is also important to read the contents of an article rather than a headline flyby. Most headlines tend to be misinformative, leaning towards sensationalism.
