best movie editor for PC

I'm looking for a movie editor for Pc that i can download to edit my guitar hero/super smash brawl/ other games videos

what program should i use? it has to be downloadable, and if u suggest one, it'd be great if u could send me the link too

I use a program called VideoRedo. Basically, what I use it for is editing commercials out of recorded TV shows, but it can do many other things I've never explored such as joining videos together and adding text and whatnot. It's not really a free program normally though, but.....well....err....file sharing programs are a wonderful thing.
