Somthing else you can do with this is you can use mcu dimmer while mcu bricker is on too if you want the blue battery/wifi light off with the rainbow led on.
No chance of a brick unless you're making a program and implementing it. If it works it works, no bricks. So now that this is apart of TWLoader does this actually have a chance of bricking? It's really fucking neat though.

as I said a few times, it's safe if you're on 8.1 or above, but it's risky below 7.0
Make it opposite day for the 3DS system, 3D light on when it's not needed, 3D light off when 3D is available.can you make an homebrew to burn that light to death?
that 3d light is annoying as hell, specially when not using the 3d
Wait... You can kill the MCU by flickering a led light fast?Since it's a LED, I doubt it'll die any time soon :/ I could flicker it, but that would kill the MCU faster than the LED itself.
Also, it's not that easy to control the 3D light independendly, so it would not die either any time soon.
Edit: I thought you were talking about the RGB led in the first sentence... You can't flicker the 3D LED like you can the RGB LED.
No, I believe he means a flickering red light decreases the life of the MCU faster than that of the LED. Not necessarily how fast the red light flickers.Wait... You can kill the MCU by flickering a led light fast?
That's not a bug, that happens normally. If your 3DS turns off when the RGB LED is on for anything (including notifications), it will do the same thing.ALSO I need to report a bug to you all, I just turned my system off while this was running, it looked creepy as the system shutdown but when I turned it back on the light was lit orange for several seconds in a creepy glow then went pitch black. It went back to normal after that... Think you could please take a look at that could you.
Ok 1 question, just so I can fully understand, what exactly is a MCUNo, I believe he means a flickering red light decreases the life of the MCU faster than that of the LED. Not necessarily how fast the red light flickers.
(MCU)Microcontroller Unit, it's essentially the brain, it monitors the HOME button, WiFi switch, 3D slider, volume control slider. Controls LEDs, various power supplies via an I²C connection to the PMIC.Ok 1 question, just so I can fully understand, what exactly is a MCU
Oh derp, thank you for telling me.(MCU)Microcontroller Unit, it's essentially the brain, it monitors the HOME button, WiFi switch, 3D slider, volume control slider. Controls LEDs, various power supplies via an I²C connection to the PMIC.
That's why it's an unrecoverable brick.
It also controls the screens, right? Or am I mistaken?(MCU)Microcontroller Unit, it's essentially the brain, it monitors the HOME button, WiFi switch, 3D slider, volume control slider. Controls LEDs, various power supplies via an I²C connection to the PMIC.

You are correct. Two I²C buses are attached to the MCU. For one, the SoC is the master; for the other, the MCU is the master.
Devices attached to MCU master I²C bus:
Devices attached to the SoC master I²C bus:
- MCU (master)
- Fuel Gauge
- Accelerometer (slave address 0x18)
- PMIC
- maybe more?
- SoC (master)
- MCU
- LCD
- Camera
- QTM (New3DS-only)
Not relevant to this thread, but name arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9loaderhax_si.binDoes the current popular distro of A9LH v2 do screen init?
I ask because I like to know I'm playing it safe, and should I want to test out one of these LED programs, I want to know if I could boot my A9LH in non screen init mode and unbrick the MCU. By having to explicitly add "_si" to the name, I take it that it isn't initialized by default so I'm safe to try?Not relevant to this thread, but name arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9loaderhax_si.bin
Even if you did get an MCU brick there's no payload to unbrick.I ask because I like to know I'm playing it safe, and should I want to test out one of these LED programs, I want to know if I could boot my A9LH in non screen init mode and unbrick the MCU. Why on earth would this app even exist in the titledb if all it does is brick??Welp... have you seen the filename? The logo/banner? The application name?
yellows8 permanently bricked his 3DS this way [emoji14]
It's in the EoF, because almost no random noobs browse the EoF, so they can't accidently brick [emoji14] Even tho' this app has auto-exit, I wouldn't like mindless people complaining if they permanently break their 3DS motherboard
It doesn't actually brick lol. It was assumed that it can brick your 3ds. @MarcusD did research and testing and found it as impossible to brick. Why on earth would this app even exist in the titledb if all it does is brick??

So you promise nothing will go even 0.01% wrong? It doesn't actually brick lol. It was assumed that it can brick your 3ds. @MarcusD did research and testing and found it as impossible to brick.
