Hack-free as in you never ran any CFW or homebrew. RCM payloads shouldn't taint the NAND as, explained previously, they are ran before the NAND so there is theoretically no way for the system to detect them.
so i vasically cant have a hack free nand backup because i ran atmosphere and homebrew

Because I'm lazy
If you don't have a clean hack-free NAND backup, you may be out of luck. However if you're willing to experiment, another user wrote up a way on how to manually "clean" out your NAND which you can find here under "Clean Up SysNAND"

Question: I was looking around what seems like everywhere to find a XCI to NSP Convertor for Mac OS. Is there such a thing because I would love to see if I dumped my MK8 cartridge correctly.

I just got my SSBU code for the Piranha plant and out of curiosity I searched to see If a cartridge has multiple use for getting the code. Nintendo says a game cartridge can only be used for rewards once.

So do cartridges have fuses too?

No, they have an unique certificate that Nintendo can keep track of.

Hi folks not sure if this is the right place to be asking so if it’s not would appreciate being directed to the right place!

Anyways, I’m trying to install an NSP on my switch, but I’m on Fat32 so the game is too large for it. I’ve used SplitNSP to split the file and now have a folder ending in .NSP, with the archive bit enabled. However, after moving the folder onto the switch, it doesnt show up anywhere (in the homebrew menu or in NSShell or whatever it’s called.)

Any advice for this? It’s kind of prohibiting me at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Never used split .NSP files but for ones larger than 4 GB with a FAT32 SD card, I always used USB install with Tinfoil.

That’s fair enough, I’m using GoldLeaf as it’s supposed to be the new tinfoil equivalent, but I’m having trouble getting the USB installer to work.

Also tried using Tinfoil but it crashes Atmosphere on load so need to figure that out.

Thanks though :)

For me, I use the 883e build of Tinfoil from the bot and Aluminum Foil on my PC. I should also mention that I'm on firmware 5.1.

Is there a homebrew app that I can use to capture gameplay footage? Would like to record on retroarch if possible.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
