I don't care about Switch games, nor do I care about piracy.
I have a Wii U with 0 games including 0 pirated games.

Not everyone wanting backups is a pirate. ;')

Then why would they want backups?

I've bought quite a few out of region games for 360.
Games that refuse to boot on a retail console but do boot on a JTAG/RGH machine.

Does that make me a pirate?

I wonder if team executer uses the processor backdoor recently revealed.

I don't even bother about that age old argument if piracy hurts sales anymore. Good games sell bad games don't. End of argument. People who can't afford more than 2 games per year won't buy more. Company's who try to sell a short bad game for 40€ are just asking for their games to be pirated

And besides the homebrew talk is also more or less irrelevant. I own ds 3ds wii and wiiu u everything is hb able. But I never really saw any good homebrew that I wanted to use, aside from emulators. The only cool stuff was the 3d target on the wii and portal 3ds that sadly never got a full release.

If you were around for the xbox, GBA, DS, wii and PSP then you might feel differently -- loads of top notch devs making homebrew doing all sorts (as well as emulators optimised to http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/story-of-mel.html levels) and for many are the thing by which all other homebrew scenes are measured. Of course said devices represented something genuinely desirable (getting your computer into a TV was tricky, oh does my xbox go right in there and take basically windows x86 code?) or otherwise best in class at the time (compare a GBA to a Nokia 8910 which was popular at the time). Today we have endless amounts of programmable devices and things to shove in a TV to do computing on (to say nothing of TVs having a nice bunch of HDMI ports and VGA before that) so I am not expecting similar greatness, indeed the 3ds probably showcases that handily as that all went away when android and IOS came on the scene.

If I’m understanding this correctly, they basically glitched the processor by undervolting it at pkg1btldr causing it to skip the remaining hash checks and allow key dumping?

I’m wondering if it’s not a permanent hardware mod, but a temporary one allowing the installer to get the console specific key and patch the nand. Kind of like a JR Programmer that glitches the console too.

20 hour long Mario Odyssey (that is 75$ around here) costs exactly 80% of my rent + electricity + water + internet.
A single game.

лол брате, I'll consider moving to Serbia if cost of living are that lovv over there.

Why would anyone bother with a flashcart at this point? A 32GB card can hardly hold a single 3rd party game, and that's ignoring all DLC and occasionally massiv updates bigger than the game itself.

Yes, because 32GB is as high as you can go for flash storage..

Would you rather strap an external HDD on a portable system?

Microsd cards go up to 200gb nowadays man. You must have been under a rock

I am well aware of the limit of SDXC(I believe 2TB with current maximum of 512GB), the problem is price and avalibility.
Riiiiight.. I forget cost is a factor when pirating...
